9th International Disaster and Emergency Resilience (IDER)

IDER 2008 will be held at the BT Centre, 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ (near St Paul's Cathedral) on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th October 2008, with Workshops on the afternoon of Monday 13th.
The conference programme is developed in conjunction with an international committee of senior emergency planning and disaster management specialists drawn from local and national government organisations, international aid agencies, consultancies, emergency services and academia. The committee identify current issues and topics affecting the disaster and emergency readiness community and a majority of the speakers are by invitation.
Lorraine Shepherd, Head of London Resilience, will be speaking on the multi agency work of the team and future challenges, including the 2012 Olympics.
