Olympics
The evolving governance structure to deliver a safe and secure 2012 London Olympic Games includes key agencies such as the Olympic Delivery Authority, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, Association of Chief Police Officers and other agencies represented at the London Region Resilience Forum.
The London Regional Resilience Partnership, has been commissioned by the Olympic Security Director, to scope the extent of Olympic Resilience Preparedness activity across agencies in London. The outcome of this exercise is to be presented to the Olympic Safety Security and Resilience Strategic Committee (OSSRSC) in May 2007. The London Resilience Team has undertaken to co-ordinate pan-London resilience activity for the Olympic Games on behalf of that committee.
The purpose of this scoping exercise is to identify as comprehensively as possible the organisations engaging in resilience preparation, ie preparations and plans for dealing with emergency situations, which may currently or in the future involve an Olympic aspect. For those involved in this exercise, a template is available for download which aims to capture basic details to inform that OSSRSC assessment. Return details are included on the template.
