London Resilience Team - Emergency Planning and Preparation

About Us

The London Resilience Partnership

The partnership focussed its attention in the early days on preparing London for a terrorist attack. This played a vital role in the efficiency and speed of the emergency response on 7 July. But being properly prepared involves planning for a wide range of emergencies. So, the partnership is currently preparing for how London would respond to pandemic flu, large scale evacuation and severe weather conditions – incidents that could threaten the capital.

The partnership includes the following organisations :

  • Government
  • Mayor of London
  • Metropolitan Police Service
  • City of London Police
  • British Transport Police
  • London Ambulance Service
  • London Fire Brigade
  • Association of Train Operating Companies
  • City of London
  • Environment Agency
  • Greater London Authority
  • Health Protection Agency
  • London’s Business Community
  • London Councils
  • London Coroners
  • London District Military
  • London’s Faith Communities
  • London Local Authorities
  • London Resilience Team
  • National Health Service
  • Network Rail
  • Port of London Authority
  • Transport for London
  • London’s Utility Companies
